Hinkie's not in control anymore, 76ers finally make moves to win instead of stockpile assets.

SAC: J Okafor, J Embiid, T Rozier

BOS: D Cousins

PHI: D Lee and '16 BKN 1st (via BOS)

SAC trades team cancer in Cousins and gets Okafor (solid young big man who can still improve on his weaknesses defense and rebounding), Embiid (takes a chance on him while his value is low), and young PG Rozier. I think WCS would be a nice fit with Okafor.

BOS takes a chance on Cousins and his immaturity but gets a star caliber player. If they can't get Simmons, use the pick to get a superstar potential player

PHI probably won't get LAL pick this year, and have a good chance at getting Simmons. He's the franchise caliber player. They still need a PG who can shoot and distribute and I don't think they'll get a quality player there through free agency. They trade Okafor (sell high, I see him as an Al Jefferson type player) and Embiid who has discipline issues and more likely than not won't ever fulfill his potential. They can get another top 5 pick in return and get the best PG prospect available (Dunn or Murray) . They can overpay for a quality SG (Fournier) and have a solid team soon.

okafor is not greater than that value. and even if it was, there is no way the celtics get cousins for just a 1st and 2 fillers. The sixers give up the bulk and they get just 1 pick and an expensive contract? fail as a whole.

If okafor=nets 2016 pick. then you were basically saying david lee = joel embiid? David lee after this year can go anywhere and is already past his prime while joel embiid eventhough his injured have potential franchise changer if he live up to his hype and also can be lock up to 7years. If not then they can cut him.

He best part is the nets pick is looking more likely to be a mid to late lottery after the bad start. So this trade is embiid and okafor for perhaps the 10 pick. Seriously? I see it a lot and most often a hyperbole, but this is the worst trade I've seen on here in ages. Seriously, flat out terrible. And the sad thing is you put time and effort in thinking it was fine.
