NYK: Teague

ATL: Afflalo, J Grant, '18 lottery protected 1st

NYK rumored to want Teague. They don't have much of a replacement for Afflalo now, but there are several SG available this summer (DeRozan, Wade, Fourenier, Gordan, etc)

PG: Teague
SG: Galloway (FA this summer)
SF: Melo
PF: Porzingas
C: Lopez

ATL has a capable PG in Schroder. They get more shooting and defense with Afflalo, a rookie prospect to back up Schroder in Grant, and a future 1st.

PG: Schroder
SG: Korver
SF: Afflalo
PF: Milsap
C: Horford.

knicks won't be giving away 1sts anymore. made it quite clear of that. 16 is the last pick they have traded and plan on building through the draft. while they do want teague, i would see it more realistically they give something along the lines of thomas, calderon and a 2nd, or something around that. very tricky for the knicks to get teague, likely need a 3rd team.

Knicks aren't giving up 1st round picks these days, especially not for a player that is about to lose his starting job and then can be gotten for much less this offseason. And this just moves the hole in the Knicks roster from pg to sg. I'm cool with the Knicks being a good team this year, hope they sign Conley this offseason and then compete in the east next season.

Teague is under contract for this year and next and at only $8M per year. He's having a down year, but he's only one season removed from being an all-star caliber PG. I think the Knicks would have to consider this. There are more quality SG available this summer than PG and they'd have Teague on a cheap contract for 1.5 years and his bird rights.

Yeah, the knicks don't have to consider that. Read voiceofreason to understand why. Kevin Love is a season and a half removed from 25 and 12.does his value currently reflect that?

@Voice, knicks, as fans, how do you rate J. Grant, is he starter quality? And while we are here, same question for Galloway.

Love went to a different team and his role is completely different. And yes, to answer your question its still going to take a lot to get Love in a trade.

Who knows why Teague is having an off year. Only thing that changed for his team is losing Carroll. He showed improvement each year culminating to last season. Maybe it's an injury or personal matter that has him playing down. Look at Rondo's rebound off of a bad year. In think it's a low risk high reward for a solid role player like Afflalo, a rookie prospect in Grant, and a mid to later 1st rd pick in 2 years.

No, the answer is no NLD. his value is not the same today as it was a year+ ago.

I don't believe Grant or Galloway are starters. I believe both can be solid rotational players though. More optimistic on Grant simply because he is just a rookie, but most likely. nope.

Thats not a low risk. its a 1st rounder from this eyar, a first rounder in 2 years and afflalo. Its too much for a soon to be backup pg.

@real, no and no. Grant has shown flashes but isn't nearly consistent enough for me to think he is going to be what the Knicks hoped he would be. I just expect a 4 year college player entering the league at 23, would be more ready. And gallow, I like him and think he's great off the bench, but he isn't the man. I like my pgs to be pass first and gallow looks for his shot way too often. And if gallow is to be a sg, I like my sgs to be in the 6'4 6'6 range.
