Thunder don't resign Lance Stephenson ($9mil, Dion Waiters ($6mil), or DJ Augustine ($3mil) and use that money to sign Demar Derozan to a max deal

they would still have the bench issues they are experiencing now and also have the problem even more with the old saying "there only one ball". all those players except adams in the starting lineup need to ball to be effective they don't really effect the game in other ways as much. yeah griffin can rebound but he isn't a good defender. gay is only a scorer. derozan can defend some but mostly just scores but doesn't have a reliable shot. just wouldn't help them win it all in my opinion.

McGary and Payne next year along with Kanter will be strong bench contributors. Roberson has great D and Morrow a great 3 point threat. I can live with that bench.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but Alex Abrines will not be signing with the Oklahoma City Thunder. He is under contract with Barcelona through 2019 and the contract has such a high buyout, that according to NBA rules, he would have to cover nearly the full amount himself.
