I think that's too much for Melo. I think he'd be a great fit in Boston but I think his value isn't great for a superstar on the wrong side of 30 who has shown he can't carry a team, doesn't play much defense and does a lot of iso stuff. I also don't see Knicks getting many more offers from other teams since most teams are looking for younger superstars. If this truly is Melo's value then Celtics are better off going for one of those younger superstars like George or Butler.

With that said he be your best player since Paul Pierce. Those other player don't attract TOP TIER FAs unless C's overpaid for them But Smrt contract is favorable. Bradley makes more sense from C's POV.

I think Boston passes. Too much value going away to tkae on melo and his terrible contract.
