As a sixers fan who wants them to draft Simmons I say yes. Russell is a better shooter than anyone on the team and would compliment Simmons IMO. Also, from what I've read, Russell and Simmons seem to be good friends which may entice Simmons to want to play in philly.

Pelicans do not want to have Asik and Okafor on roster. They would not trade 6th for Okafor w/ out Asik coming off too.
