Fournier maybe a good target with George potentially leaving. He fills more of a need as he’s young, can space the floor and complement WB. Vucevic would cause same issues they had with Kanter lack of defence and floor spacing.

Why would Orlando give up an asset for a highly overpaid aging guy who kinda lost his shot? I mean i know he is an expiring contract but OKC is stuck w Melo.

Okc takes vuc fournier and gives orlando melo and a pick. Orlando buys melo out to open cap.

They don't open cap space by buying him out. If that were the case, OKC would just do it.

Vuc makes no sense for a Thunder team already paying $24M per. Melo doesn't make sense for Orlando who needs those minutes to integrate young players. If Melo opts in, the earliest I see him moved is at trade deadline time, not because the Thunder wouldn't like to move him now, I just don't see anyone wanting him.

Vucevic is a better kanter but okc isn't a good place for him at this moment and melo for magic too. Melo trade clause I would think messes with being able to deadline trade him mid season. He's going to have to agree to a destination this summer if he and okc are finished with each other.
