I like it. Although I think someone desperate will offer howard a max deal and he will follow the money.

He is 30, and he had some injury issues. I think he won't get better offers.

I think Jeremy Lin should be re-signed.

20+ teams will have max money available, I would be shocked if Howard wasn't offered a max deal by at least 5 teams.

Howard will get max money. And it will be a mistake by whichever team gives it. Sad but true.

25 teams wih cap space, and most are under the salary floor next year.

Howard will certainly get max money, (first year around $29.7) and this season, guys like Nic Batum will get maxed as well ($25.5). Owners would rather overpay a starter, than give away $16 mil in buses, and not get a player for it.

In fact, I think because it's such a crazy year since the Players turned down cap smoothing, all these players will get max tiers deals:

$21.2 Tier: Drummond, Whiteside, Beal, Barnes
$25.5 Tier: Durant, Horford, Batum, Conley, Derozan, Ryan Anderson
$29.7 Tier: Dwight Howard

Some of these gusy would never get maxxed in a normal year.

@shrink, I agree completely, I even think it will be much worse this summer than the next one, when cap goes to approximately 108 mil, because teams are going to try and use space, even overpaying players, since next year they are going to be under cap either way (or under luxury tax, if they try to complete team this summer) ; but as 2017 is going to be really strong FA class, teams will try to assemble a nice team to be factor in agency. Besides, next summer might be quieter, since cap is probably falling in summer of 2018.

Considering this players, I am only not sure if R. Anderson gets max, I think he'll be around 18-20. Only if Nets enter the game, but I think he'll prefer situation where he can compete.
