I think Ingram is a smarter choice. He will take over a game when needed. Simmons I don't see that. Ingram can shoot awesome (very big in today's game) and Ingram can win. If Simmons was so great wouldn't he be able to lead his college team to the NCAA Tourney? If he can't lead LSU why should we believe he can lead an NBA team? That might take time before he can.

Ingram was on Duke, a team that would have made the tourney without him. If you swap the two of them I'm sure Ingram wouldn't have made it either, and I'd even go as far to say duke would have went further.

I also don't believe the idea that Simmons can't shoot.

Maybe true. I never said Simmons can't shoot I just strongly believe Ingram shoots better.

Leading his college team to the tourney really doesn't matter. His skillset is a generational talent that doesn't come out in the draft every year. Skinny kids who can shoot come out all the time, not 6'10 pgs. We MUST take aimmons first. And why would you trade for butler then not add him to the starting lineup.

We would have to get a lot of veteran FAs to round out this lineup. And to make getting butler worth it, since the rookies won't help butler make us a contender for a couple years.
