Can a 3 way sign and trade work?

Kyle Lowry to Miami

Lonzo Ball to Toronto

Duncan Robinson to Pelicans

I think moneywise, all three can receive a reasonable 14-17mil per year range.

doesn't look bad.

Lowry and his agent strongly disagree with your assessment of his value. I'm not a huge fan, but I expect Ball will get more than that also.

Per the CBA rules, only one player involved in a trade can be S&T, so no it can't work. Hypothetically speaking let's say it is though. All 3 players would have to agree to go to these destinations, which wouldn't happen, and all 3 teams would be hard capped, meaning they can't exceed the salary cap for any reason at any time next year.

Actually, ShaqIsBack, that's not quite right. you can do a sign and trade of 2 players (Durant, Russell 2 years ago), but you cannot aggregate salaries. in other words you can't add a second player to the newly signed player to match salaries. If the 2 players being signed match up salary wise you can do this.
In terms of the hard cap they cannot exceed the apron, which is about 6-8 million above the luxury tax line, and way beyond the cap.
Other than that, I agree that these 3 players are not going to all line up and want to do this. I think all of them will get quite a bit more than the 14-17M suggested.
