Embiid will never reach his full potential thanks to his injuries. Plus Jokic is better than Okafor. Just ask the voters who VOTED him over Okaofr in ROTY voting. He's has more talent than Okafor. He can stretch out the defense and actually plays defense. Nurkic is solid too.

You both clearly haven't watched many of Okafors games (understandable with him being on the sixers) . He can both pass and hit a mid range shot when needed. His defense as a 19 yr old is for sure lackong, but I don't buy that jokic is some stud defender.

The ego comment is unwarranted as well.

Jokic got more votes because Okafor missed a decent amount of games at the end of the season injured while jokic was playing.

No simmonsorbust, he got more votes because he put up an incredible 21.6 PER, 10pts and 7 boards a game, while playing only 21 minutes a game. He shot 33% from the field. And crushed Okafor in rebounds per 36, assists per 36, more efficient scorer and far better free throw percentage. that's why he beat okafor, even while Okafor played 50% more minutes than Jokic. Okafor is a solid scoring threat. I fail to call 1.2 assist in 30 minutes of action being a solid passer. Just isnt.

You have to remember that okafor played with terrible guards. So even good passes might not count as assists because no one can shoot. Okafor was double teamed from the start and still put up solid numbers.
