It looks like Ben Simmons will be out this whole season. so hello NBA draft 2017. should draft a starting SG or PG. Sixers and Nets will be battling out as number one pick.

Need to trade Noel as his contract expires.
Bayless vs Rodriguez for starting PG
Okafor vs Embiid vs Saric for starting big men

Starting lineup this season would be
Bayless-Henderson-Covington-Okafor-Embiid.

It hasn't been announced yet, but it looks like that's the way they're leaning.

As much as I'm not a Philly fan, I feel bad for those fans. As stupid as it was to draft Embiid while injured, Simmons was healthy and the right pick at # 1. This puts Philly back in the 15-20 win category if he is shut down for the year.

Triangle i agree to all your point. Saric is going to start at pf though. I disagree with that as Okafor clearly is more Nba ready. Saric should start off the bench with noel.

Who should the Sixers have drafted in the 2014 draft?
All players drafted between the 4 and 11 spot are less talented than Embiid.
Maybe they should have drafted Z Lavine with the 12 pick :-)

I'm not a sixers fan, but i feel bad for them. I truly hope Embiid is going to have a good season.

We really haven't had a ton of luck. But hopefully in the end it works out. Really blows to not see Simmons, possibly at all this year if the sixers follow there past actions when it comes to injuries. What can you do right.

I broke the same bone in my foot and was in a cast for two weeks, in a walking boot for two weeks and then regular shoes. I was able to run again maybe a month or 6 weeks later and back on the court making cuts a month after that. and he has a crew of doctors and trainers. he should be back.

Yeah but I also hear his agent wants him to win Roy. And if he comes back mid season he won't win that award. I hear it's a 20 mil bonus from Nike for him if Simmons wins Roy.

@tre: well that's some BS. BTW, I'd put saric and oak on the front line. They compliment each other, saric is as ready as anyone and it allows Embiid to work his way up against 2nd teamers. After 2 years he's got to be rusty.

That would make a lot of sense. But Simmons' competition will be a lot stiffer next year. Looks like a great draft. Also the Sixers will have (hopefully) two more high draft picks.
