Why would Cavs want to pay Schroeder instead of Sexton?

they don't want to pay him but they get rid of love contract and cavs want to resign allen so getting kuzma and the 21st pick and Schroder Its a decent deal unless they just resign sexton then trade him but it's go take aleast 100m for them to resign him then trade him.

you may be able to match up salaries with an S&T of Schroder and Sexton, but it's going to be hard to get Love's salary onto the Lakers sheet for Kuzma's 13M.

@windrapsfan. I think that the Sexton signing is an extend in trade with him still being on his last rookie year salary for the trade. Both sides are moving $38 mil-ish in salary.

@Fredman - but don't they still have to complete the Shroder S&T without Kuzma first? . whether that's for Love or the extended Sexton I'm not sure Kuzma's 13M is going to match up with either. and isn't there a poison pill on an extend and trade deal?
