First of all: I highly doubt the Bucks will trade Giannis this summer. They'd rather risk losing him for nothing than just give up on him prematurely. But, if the Warriors win the draft lottery, the Bucks would at least have to listen.

Warriors get Giannis Antetokounmpo

Bucks get Andrew Wiggins, the first overall pick, Minnesota's 2021 first round pick, four second round picks (3 from Philly 1 from Minnesota), two future unprotected GS first round picks, and the right to swap first round picks for two years

It would take a package similar to this one to get the Bucks to even entertain a Giannis trade. The Warriors would have to surrender all of the assets they acquired the past year and then some. However, it's not totally impossible to me: especially if the Bucks have a disappointing postseason.

I don't think Wiggins and 4 firsts does it. Maybe if the Bucks are in love with someone at the top of this draft, but it seems like it's one high end asset away.

2.) 19 Feb 2020 17:53:20
Rerur you don't understand the freak if you think he anything like Durant or Lebron. He would not allow that trade to effect his legacy.

3.) 19 Feb 2020 17:55:43
The two future first are required to off Wiggins for expiring deals so it’s like there getting just the warriors 2020 and the wolves 2021 for Giannis. And two future picks for taking on Wiggins.

4.) 19 Feb 2020 18:40:07
I think it’s not bad. I think a better question is would there be a team that could make a hypothetical better offer?

5.) 19 Feb 2020 18:53:00
Shizzee: If you really think he's different than those guys, you're crazy. Lebron and Durant both looked incredibly loyal through their first 7 or 8 years in the league too. All of these guys want one thing, to win.

And how would a trade affect his legacy? It's not like he is asking to go to GS.

6.) 19 Feb 2020 19:15:22
so why ruin basketball and put giannis frontrunning warriors. they had their time time to move on.

7.) 19 Feb 2020 20:51:45
To me there's only one reason to trade Giannis. and that's if he says he wants out.
If that happens you can bet his agent will give the Bucks a list of teams he would consider re-signing with, and would also let those teams know.
Then it becomes the best package offered.
In any event, if Giannis gets traded his agent will be orchestrating it.

Recent reports say that if the Warriors draft LaMelo Ball, he will likely start at the 3 and Wiggins will be traded for a center. (Source: trendingnba IG). Here's a trade that I think they could realistically make happen.

Warriors get Andre Drummond and a top 10 protected first round pick

Cavs get Andrew Wiggins

The Warriors get a dominant rebounder who is also a solid defender. Drummond will be an expiring contract, so they will have financial flexibility next summer. They also get another asset to trade for depth or to assist them in their youth movement. The Cavs get their former first overall pick back. Wiggins could thrive in a situation where he gets to be the number one option.

The pick is going the wrong way. Wiggins is trash and locked up for multiple years.

2.) 18 Feb 2020 20:02:00
I don't think the pick needs to be included. A straight swap (assuming Drummond picks up his option) isn't crazy though.

3.) 18 Feb 2020 21:00:49
Love for Wiggins. or give Cavs two future first for Wiggins for Drummond.

4.) 18 Feb 2020 22:14:00
BMiller, A straight swap is pretty crazy for the Cavs. Wiggins would be a disaster and is signed for more years. Wiggins takes away shots from the young guys, will have no one to hold him accountable and exacerbates all of the Cavs weaknesses. It’d be bad for the Cavs and Wiggins.

5.) 18 Feb 2020 23:03:56
II that’s an interesting idea. Wiggins for Love would be like 2014 all over again haha. I like the idea of another shooter on the Dubs though, getting back to the splash family concept.

6.) 19 Feb 2020 00:26:56
Straight swap is horrible.

7.) 19 Feb 2020 01:39:49
Cavs weakness is not coaching, bad owners and Wiggins let’s young guys play fast. Might not win but love has been on trading block pretty much since he has been a cav.

8.) 19 Feb 2020 03:57:52
Love and green center and pf may work.

If Embiid actually wants out of Philly, maybe the Warriors will swoop win.

76ers get Andrew Wiggins, Warriors first round pick, Timberwolves 2021 first round pick

Warriors get Joel Embiid

Simmons and Wiggins isn't really an ideal pairing, but this is probably one of the best offers they could get for Joel.

LOOOOL.

2.) 13 Feb 2020 12:34:53
Philly isn’t taking that. They need players that can help now in any deal.

3.) 13 Feb 2020 16:06:26
The Process 2.0 might be a hard sell to Philly fans.

Bucks get Andre Iguodala

Grizzlies get Ersan Ilyasova, Robin Lopez, Pat Connaughton, and the Pacers first round pick

The Grizzlies apparently want the Pacers first round pick (which the Bucks own) in exchange for Iguodala. The Bucks would have to shed roughly $13.5 million in salary to make it happen. It's a costly trade for the Bucks, but could put them over the edge. With the open roster spots, they could sign guys like Joakim Noah, JR Smith, or Ryan Anderson to replenish their depth. Do you think it's worth it for the Bucks? I'm kind of iffy on it.

Way too much for Iggy.

2.) 04 Feb 2020 17:42:04
sitting top in the east, and those are 3 rotation players I would not mess around that much.

Pistons get Chandler Parsons, Alex Len, and a second round pick

Hawks get Blake Griffin

The Pistons get two expiring contracts and clear cap space to assist them in their rebuild. They sell low on a talented player, but clearly assert their intention to rebuild around Sekou. Low risk, low reward deal for the Pistons.

The Hawks basically only give up a second round pick to gamble on Griffin. If he gets healthy and returns to All-Star form, he will be an excellent complement to Trae Young. However, the deal could backfire if Griffin stays injured and is a terrible contract. Medium risk, high reward deal for the Hawks.

Blake is done for the year. He’s almost unmovable right now. Why would Atlanta do this now?

2.) 26 Jan 2020 13:34:18
Next year see his explanation it’s a roll of the dice cheap.

3.) 26 Jan 2020 13:57:50
It doesn’t answers my question. Why not wait until the offseason? Also, why give up any assets?

4.) 26 Jan 2020 15:05:28
Parsons is darn near retired now Len and 2nd is a far cry from an assest.

5.) 26 Jan 2020 15:22:38
Irkenne, If you want blake with his history and injuries who cares about a 2nd rounder.

6.) 26 Jan 2020 16:50:47
Piston can buy out parsons and save money.

7.) 26 Jan 2020 18:26:16
why would parsons take a buyout? he's not going to play or sign anywhere else, so basically they'd be asking him to do them a favour and give them back some of the money he'd been promised when he signed his contract. just because he's a nice guy? .
buyouts are either at a discount because the player knows he can recover what he gives up by signing with another team, or at full pop just because the team doesn't want the distraction. players who can't play anymore don't generally give salary back for nothing.

The Cavs gave up a future second round pick and expiring contracts for Drummond. What makes you think they’ll get two first round picks for him? This is laughably bad.

The Pistons are completely rebuilding, they would have zero use for Thompson.

@usa you have to consider that Kuz’s stock is pretty low right now. Maybe they get a protected first instead of the second but that’s about it. Kennard would be a natural fit alongside LeBron.
