This is a trade I purposes pre draft. Interested to see where it stand now.

Sixers trade Okafor and la pick next year.

Lakers trade Ingram

If I'm la I'd jump on this deal In a second. But I am a philly fan so I'm interested to see other perspectives.

Ingram has a way higher up side than Okafor. I would rather keep Ingram.

How about:
Lakers: take off the top 3 protection
Sixers: Noel or Okafor

"If I'm the Sixers, I'd jump on this deal in a second. "

Daniel.

How would that make any sense for the Sixers? You remove the protection but get much better so you'll be out of the top three regardless. That be literally the most pointless trsde for philly I've ever seen. Basically giving away Okafor or Noel for free.

Tool guy

Okafor has solid upside but the point is your also getting the pick back next year. Which at current construction of the rosters will be about top five for la as of now. Add Oakfor and probably top ten pick. It's not that unreasonable for la to say yes to. Ingram looks good but Okafor looks like at the very least an instant paint presence which la does not have as of now.

To be fair tre, the two of those players together produced one of the worst seasons in history. So how does the acquisition of one of them make a team that was slightly less awful substantially better so that it negates the protection? Neither is adding many wins.

Hamburger

One I'm pretty sure outside of Noel and Okafor philly produced the worst roster in NBA history last season. A bit unfairly to blame two guys when they literally had nothing to play with.

Okafor on the lakers gives them shooting with clarkson Russell combined with an inside presence in Okafor who is legit on offense. Randle isn't a bad player. More of a hustle guy who can rebound so I like him at the four. Probably go deng for a vet presence at the three. i feel the balance will be much better with that combo then Ingram on his first season in the league. So a better win total is probable if they add Oakfor. Noel also adds his own special abilities that that tema is missing ( being a great shot blocker) either guys helps balance out that roster.

And no idk why la decide mozgof was worth giving a contract to. Really a head scratcher. I don't even count him as a starter in the NBA.

Yeah. Didn't say they are bad. Just simply not major needle movers by them self. With either of them, I still see la as likely the bottom 2 teams. That was the point. I like both of them as players in the league for a long time. Just don't see them as franchise changers. Mayyyyyybe in 3-5 years. But no where near there yet. That's all.

The way I see it is it is a gamble. Maybe 50% chance lakers get pick 1-3. Would you trade Noel for a 50% chance at a 1-3 pick/ 50% chance nothing? Think with all the pics the sixers have, it's a worthwhile gamble. No right answer, just a possible home run gamble.

Hamburger.

So your talking about the Noel for the removal of the protection?

Sorry Tre
Not going to happen. Only way Lakers trade Ingram is if they acquire a superstar in return. They have enough rookies/ young guys that need to develop. They need to stick with these guys and give them time to develop or get a bona fide superstar.

Yup. Wouldn't do it for okafor. For Noel. I'd risk it. And think lakers would. Or at least should as well.

Hamburger. Naaa I'm not doing Noel for removal of a protection. Just doesn't make much sense to me. Lakers are good enough now to get out of the bottom three.

No right answer tre. Just an interesting option.

Philly fans,

Ingram>>>>>>>>>>>>>upside vs. Okafor, just stop. They could not get the #3 pick for him this year, in a draft where there were only two prohibited favorites, Ingram being one of them.

That's not an interesting option at all.

You don't trade a good player in Noel or okafor because of a slim chance that the Sixers may not get the Lakers pick next year.

If the Lakers were in the bottom three this year (2017 draft) what crazy change of events would happen that they aren't a bad team again in 2018 when the pick insnt protected? If Okafor was in the draft this year he at the very least would have been the 3rd pick and in the debate as the 2nd pick with the Lakers having no bigs. I think Okafor and the return of the Lakers pick is pretty close for ingram.

Not saying LA would do it though.

Okafor wasn't offered for the #3 pick. The offer was reported to be Noel Covington and two late first rounders.

Okafor would have been the third pick this year and atleast in discussions to go number 2 with LA having no bigs.

LA-Laker and Boston Fans.

Its obvious that we have person dismay between all of us. Its because of our storied Franchise histories. The near future will show us WHO (if either of our teams have) made the right moves during our (Tanking) losing seasons. In the case of LA, its your fault you signed Kobe to that ENDLESS contract and ALLOWED him to dictate your guys future. Boston and Philly have the assets and young players to push forward into the future and re-establish our franchises. I see BOTH becoming prime locations for KEY free agents at the end of this 2016-17 season.

Write it down, take a picture, because i stand by my predictions! (Hinkie for President! ) LOL.
