Bos-Phil
Bos gets Noel (keeping in mind he is a RFA next season and philly has an overcrowded frontcourt and needs guards)

Bos gives smart, huntet and boston pick 2018
Philadelphia gives up Noel.

C's say NO!

Keep in mind that's a bad offer. Quantity does not equal quality.

As a Philly fan we want to trade okafor not Noel. Especially because all he needs to do is learn how to catch and dunk to stay on the court, meanwhile okafor is only workable as a second unit leader, his feet are slow enough that he'd get blown by old man bill russel.

Putting Minnesota not getting enough aside, how does Denver get that return just for Murray?

I like this trade. Sixers get some nice value back for Noel. Celtic get a center to compliment hortford. This makes a lot of sense.

^ wrong thread on my other comment

He doesn't speak for all Philly fans. As a Philly fan, I'd rather trade Noel then okafor. Completely disagree with everything said by sixerspie.

That being said the above offer isn't a terrible one at this point, but you can keep Hunter.

I think the sixers would consider smart straight up for noel. I don't necessarily think its a smart trade, but there is no way the celtics are giving up that much on top of it.

I could absolutely see a trade of those two straight up. Works for both teams.

Celtics def say yes to this. But sixers say no. They want more value in a single asset for either noel or okafor. not multiple players and a pick in the 20s.

oooook phillymike. that's why neither has been traded. Perhaps okafor can snag another propsect, like a lavine straight up (doubtful though because minnesota doesn't need okafor) . But besides just saying they demand more than a 1st pick and 2 prospects. what exactly do you see noel's value as? who is this single asset they realistically can get that is better than this package?

There is a reason for this trade. I agree personally that smart straight up works. The reason why I added the pick was because this should not be an offer that philly refuses. Boston has no use for picks. Ainge has shown how he makes terrible decisions in the draft. What's the use in keeping a pick if you will stash the player overseas and never play him Ala colon Iverson. No need for it. Rather give up the pick. And for boston this works. I think rozier will be very good and has a bigger upside. Jackson should be a solid backup pg. No need for smart. A trio of horford/ noel/ olynyk will provide nice floor spacing, rim protection and rebounding. It's worth it.

Plus keep in mind this. Sacramento will suck again. Cousins will want out. Once that happens, celtics will pounce on that. Then there will be no need for noel. Philly will get stuck with their logjam.

Fair deal for philly. Keep in mind smart is the only value going back to the Sixers in this deal

Some pick in the 20s and hunter are nobodies. Not even role players.

This trade is basically Noel for smart and some change.

Ok. And again. The trade would be smart straight up for Noel. Not a 1st and a prospect. Jesus.
