OKC-ORL

OKC-Vecuvic

ORL-Anthony,57th pick

More of the "Get Rid of Melo" series.

What possible reason would the Magic want Anthony?

2.) 26 May 2018 12:12:09
Fournier maybe a good target with George potentially leaving. He fills more of a need as he’s young, can space the floor and complement WB. Vucevic would cause same issues they had with Kanter lack of defence and floor spacing.

3.) 26 May 2018 14:33:58
Why would Orlando give up an asset for a highly overpaid aging guy who kinda lost his shot? I mean i know he is an expiring contract but OKC is stuck w Melo.

4.) 26 May 2018 15:18:14
Okc takes vuc fournier and gives orlando melo and a pick. Orlando buys melo out to open cap.

5.) 26 May 2018 18:48:56
They don't open cap space by buying him out. If that were the case, OKC would just do it.

Vuc makes no sense for a Thunder team already paying $24M per. Melo doesn't make sense for Orlando who needs those minutes to integrate young players. If Melo opts in, the earliest I see him moved is at trade deadline time, not because the Thunder wouldn't like to move him now, I just don't see anyone wanting him.

6.) 27 May 2018 00:25:00
Vucevic is a better kanter but okc isn't a good place for him at this moment and melo for magic too. Melo trade clause I would think messes with being able to deadline trade him mid season. He's going to have to agree to a destination this summer if he and okc are finished with each other.

OKC-WAS

OKC-Morris, Mahimni

WAS-Anthony,57th pick

Let me know what you think.

hard to envision melo working out in wash. he seems stubborn to become a role player, and wash shouldn’t stifle otto porter like that given their financial commitment to him.
i can't help but circle back to the boogie to wash idea with porter heading out, but melo+dmc just sounds messy.
even with dumping mahinmi, wiz should pass.

2.) 26 May 2018 01:28:02
Nobody wants Melo.

Why would atl do that? Why would Philly do that? Why would kanter or van fleet do that?

2.) 17 May 2018 18:18:41
This draft is as loaded as people arr saying then trading down seven spots so they can get an extra pick won't be so bad. Kanter wan5s money but security as well. With a MLE contract he will get about as much over several years. OKC can promise VanFleet a 6th or 7th man role on a winning team. Atlanta is in full rebuild mode. Getting rid of Bazemores contract and buying out Melo would give them enough space to rebuild on free agency.

3.) 17 May 2018 18:46:32
Philly has 4 picks in the 2nd round and 2 in the 1st. They may not have enough spots for the guys they draft as is. They're far more likely to try and trade up than down.

And like Football father said, why would Kanter opt out for a 1 year deal making over 10 million less? Also, Toronto would probably give Van Fleet more than that. I imagine he'll at least get around the MLE.

I don't see Atlanta being willing to give up assets to get off a contract. They're in year 2 of a rebuild. It's not like they're a viable option for any big time free agents anytime soon and they have 30ish million to spend already.

4.) 18 May 2018 05:24:00
I'd rather have melo than bazemore. how did okc get 26? Did they have it all along?

MEGA TRADE

OKC-Ibaka,Hernongomez

TOR-Anthony,Wilson,Singler(buyout)

CHA-Bledsoe,Maker,2x OKC 2nd round 2018

MIL-Walker,Miles,CHA 2nd round 2019

OKC gets a great defensive pf in Ibaka and a backup center in Hernongomez.

TOR salary of the books for a couple of years and gets a shot to get one more good season out of Melo

CHA gets some future picks,a backup center,a solid starting pg

MIL gets an all-star, a solid bench player, and a pick just for good mesure.

Flydre

1.) 14 May 2018 06:28:48
Not sure about ibaka. Rumor has it he's older than his paperwork states. He could be as old as emeka okafor with 2 more years at 20 mil. He is good but I'd invest in the youngest talent available and affordable for okc. Picks are traded, way over the cap, melo is on the books for another season.

2.) 14 May 2018 17:18:44
no good for charlotte, the least they should take for kemba is a mid-late first and 2 decent young players.

OKC-CAVS

OKC-Love,Clarkson,BK pick

CAVS-George,53 pick

It's a sign and trade, the Thunder would be lucky to get Love out of the deal. No way they get the pick as well.
